NAAEE’s annual conference is one of the most important activities that the Association provides for members and for the field of EE. Ensuring a successful conference requires advanced planning. Advanced planning means organizing four conference committees concurrently! Each Conference Committee includes representatives from the Board, NAAEE membership, and the local host organization(s). They help NAAEE staff by selecting the conference theme, strands, and logo and suggesting keynote presenters, exhibiters, and sponsors. They coordinate the development of the program by assigning accepted proposals to time slots. They develop and coordinate field trips and on-site workshops. All commissions should consider recommending members for the Conference Committees to ensure their interests are reflected in conference planning.
