Information for Presenters


Combined Presentation/Panel (45 minutes)

These sessions focus on a topic and are designed to bring together proposals of complimentary or similar interest where each presenter has approximately 15 minutes to talk, followed by 15 minutes for discussion and questions.

AV: All combined presentation rooms will be set up with a PC laptop (with Office Suite loaded), LCD projector, screen, flip chart, and markers.  Presenters should bring their presentation on a flash drive.  Internet access is available for a fee.

Hands-on Presentation (1 hour & 20 minutes)

Hands-on sessions deal with a single topic or program, in an interactive setting where participants can have an open discussion with an experienced expert.  Not intended as a lecture.

AV:
All hands-on presentation rooms will have a PC laptop (with Office Suite loaded), LCD projector, screen, flip chart, and markers.  Presenters should bring their presentation on a flash drive. Internet access is available for a fee.

Poster 
Posters are visual presentations set up Thursday through Saturday with the opportunity to stand with your poster during the exhibit hall grand opening on Thursday evening, September 30. 

Poster boards are aproximately 8 feet wide x 4 feet tall (2.4 m wide x 1.2 m) and there will be 2 posters per side of the board.  Presenters should prepare their posters to fit within a 4 foot x4 foot area.  Push pins will be provided, or you may bring your own Velcro. Posters need to remain posted Thursday morning through Saturday afternoon of the conference.

Poster board assignments will be posted at 7:30 am on Thursday, September 30, in the General Session hall (2nd floor, south hall).

Set-up: Thursday, September 30, 7:30 am – 12:00 pm
Poster Session: Thursday, September 30, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm (All poster presenters are expected to stand by their poster during this time.)
Take-down: Saturday, October 2, 1:45 - 4:00 pm **Any posters remaining on the boards after this time will be discarded.**
AV:  No electricity will be available nor will AV equipment or display tables be permitted.

Roundtable Discussion (1 hour & 20 minutes)

Roundtable discussions are informal presentations conducted in a community room where multiple presentations will occur simultaneously. Each presenter will have one table and ~20 chairs. Participants may choose to stay at one table for the entire session's time, or they may visit several tables.  Presenters should prepare their session to be more discussion oriented rather than a formal presentation.

In order to increase your exposure to conference attendees, only a fraction of other session types will be scheduled during this time. We expect roundtable discussions to get great participation, and you should be prepared for lively discussion.

AV: No electricity or AV equipment is available.

Symposium (1 hour & 20 minutes)

Symposiums are panel discussions with a minimum of 3 participants where different perspectives on a common topic are presented.

AV: All symposium rooms will bet set up with a PC laptop (with Office Suite loaded), LCD projector, screen, flip chart, and markers.  Presenters should bring their presentation on a flash drive. Internet access is available for a fee. 

Traditional Presentations (20 or 45 minutes)

These sessions focus on a topic or program and typically involve a presentation, followed by discussion and questions,
