1. Research Symposium Announces Keynotes

The keynote speaker for the 5th Annual Research Symposium is Dr. Louise Chawla, a world-renowned scholar and author of Growing Up in an Urbanizing World, In the First Country of Places: Nature, Poetry and Childhood Memory. Dr. Arjen Wals, a Dutch researcher who is a pioneer in participation and social learning in environmental education, will offer opening remarks. The symposium will encourage conversations about various research agendas, themes, and research in progress, results, methodologies/epistemologies, approaches, and issues. Through the symposium, we hope to continue to grow, and establish new, ongoing networks and projects of mutual interest. We encourage students to attend the symposium and to engage in sessions/discussions. Graduate student rates reflect a $100 scholarship credit and include a graduate student breakfast and professional development workshops organized by graduate students and university faculty.
