UM Launches Online Wilderness Management Graduate CertificateThe University of Montana is now offering a Graduate Certificate in Wilderness Management. The certificate provides students and professionals with training and expertise in the key topics related to wilderness management. Four online courses cover the history and philosophy of the wilderness system, wilderness law and policy, wilderness recreation management, wilderness ecosystem conservation and resource monitoring, and wilderness planning. Celebrate Spring with Project BudBurstJoin thousands of others in gathering valuable environmental information with Project BudBurst. Project BudBurst is a national field campaign for educators, students, families, and other volunteers designed to engage the public in making careful observations of the phenophases such as first leafing, first flower, and first fruit ripening of a diversity of trees, shrubs, flowers, and grasses in their local area. Participants contribute to a better understanding of how changing climates impact plant species.
