Learning from Google Trends

Some interesting evidence about our education activity levels throughout the year from Google Trends.

Google Trends Conclusion

Wrapping up this article.

I may do another article on just EE and Google Trends to I'll stop here for now.

This is just a quick little thought paper.  Hope you enjoyed it.  Google trends caught my attention because it mirrors well those data that I have about our own web site use.  I therefore think it's pretty valid information.  And it's darn powerful so it becomes an interesting tool to use to target terms and to target seasons and to do a whole range of research about your audience.  Business decisions will end up being made on this data.

Google Trends - friend or tool?

Just seeing if this is a useful process or not

Google Trends - article seemed long

I was interested - but had to jump 76 toimes to finish - any way to shorten that process?

Article was a Beta Test

The reason we made the article go on so many pages was to see how it would work in that format. In general, articles should be 1-3 pages in length, not 7 and we will try to stick to that format. So ... this was a test.

Google Trends Article

Thanks for the article. Clear headings make seven pages OK. The article is a good addition to the NAAEE site. Google Trends can be a valuable tool to educators, researchers, EE providers and EE organizations. Additional articles indicating results of various Google Trends studies would be helpful. Future articles should describe the trends or conclusions in words and numbers in greater depth for the people with limited familiarity in analyzing the charts or combining results from multiple charts (or visual impairment, etc.[see W3C web accessibility guidelines])

Agree with the Article Needing Depth on the Analysis

If we do future articles, there will be much more depth and description of the chart images and how we analyze and interpret this information and in how we put a meaningful context around it.
