EE and K–12 Student Achievement Symposium

In this Saturday symposium, two environmental education center staff, four researchers, and one curriculum developer offered their perspectives on how environmental education is improving student achievement, and on how nonformal EE complements formal education. This type of conversation among formal and nonformal educators and researchers needs to continue, the presenters said, for the field to be proactive about advocating for EE in the face of tighter standards and assessment mandates.
