EE Careers Symposium: Preparing to Succeed in Your EE Career
Winter 2006 Communicator "Extra"
Students and seasoned professionals alike gained valuable insight from this Friday afternoon symposium. A diverse panel representing state agencies, international conservation organizations, and residential EE facilities discussed the importance of being enthusiastic, professional, and well-informed when applying for jobs. In particular, Judy Braus of the National Audubon Society recommended honing strategic-planning skills; becoming well-versed in conservation issues, technology, and fundraising; and gaining hands-on experience through volunteer positions.
