The North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) has embarked on an exciting venture and we would like to ask for your assistance.  NAAEE is developing a fifth set of guidelines as part of the National Project for Excellence in Environmental Education (www.naaee.org/npeee). These guidelines will focus on the development and implementation of early childhood environmental education programs. When fully developed, the guidelines will include an introduction, a set of key characteristics for quality early childhood environmental education program development and implementation, examples, references, and a glossary of terms.

This draft is being submitted to the environmental education and early childhood education communities for review and comment. The process has been iterative. The writing process has taken approximately two years.  We invite you to review this third and final draft and provide comments that will be used in the revision process. We expect to publish later this year.
