Shared Affiliate Technology Program

Information about the Shared Affiliate Technology Program including: Governance, Pricing Policy, and two proposed shared technology projects.

During 2008, NAAEE has been working with Affiliates to define and launch a "Shared Affiliate Technology Program".  This page provides access to documents that have been developed for this Program and will soon include a separate page that contains periodic updates about meetings held, meetings planned, and other updates related to the program.

At this time, here are the documents you can download and review:

  • Pricing Policy: The Pricing Policy provides the most insight into how joint projects will be managed from project inception through fund raising and project delivery phases.
  • Rules Document: The Rules Document covers governance issues and policy.
  • Membership Management Project: There are two documents here.  One is a 2 page Membership Management project summary targeting Affiliate Executive directors.  The other is a ~13-page Membership Management RFP (PDF file format) that is intended as an RFP for potential vendors.  This PDF may be released in late November, 2008 but is in draft form now and we seek comment on it from Affiliate staff.
  • Social Content Project:   As with the Membership Project, there are two documents here.  One is a 2 page Social Content project summary targeting Affiliate Executive directors. The other is a ~13-page Social Content RFP (PDF file format) that is intended as an RFP for potential vendors.  This PDF may be released in late November, 2008 but is in draft form now and we seek comment on it from Affiliate staff.

You can send any comments you may have on any of the above documents to Paul Nowak (paul AT naaee.org).

We don't expect to release both the Membership Management RFP and the Social Content RFP to the vendor community for response. One RFP or the other will act as the lead and we will then bring the potential vendors that show interest in responding to the RFP up to speed on the full scope of the project, the role of the Workgroup (see the Rules Document for details), our existing plans for additional projects and un-planned additional potential projects.

Here is a program update page covering meetings held, meetings planned, and other updates related to the program.
