November 20th, 2008 Update:
- Attended all day meeting in Indiana on the 18th with Jon
Marshall of DJ Case, Ty Montgomery of "The Other Firm" (a tech
development firm from Portland, OR) and two
technical staff from DJ Case. It was a very productive meeting and we
found lot's of common ground. DJ Case is an environmental
communications and technology firm located near South Bend, IN.
Our discussions focused on finding common ground and sharing market and business strategy around a Conservation Education portal project that DJ Case is heading up and our own Social Content project plan which is also targeted, for NAAEE, as a replacement of the platform currently supporting the EE-Link (http://eelink.net) website and as a cornerstone of our future membership benefit delivery platform (as opposed to membership management). It was a very productive meeting both in terms of finding common ground and finding ways we can potentially leverage resources. - I am attending a meeting with Switchback CMS this afternoon/evening in Ann Arbor to discuss our membership management project in more detail and determine ways we can drive more cost out of the project plan. Switchback has delivered a number of projects focusing on membership management and has brought a lot of resources to the table.
- Have a 1-hour meeting scheduled with Joshua Berger of EEAW (Washington State) on Friday Nov 21 to discuss social content and social networking project plans.
